Display of Lanterns Extended through all of January 2021; See Other Changes

Video. See our latest video showing the lanterns already displayed in the Hondo. Each lantern is presented in front of the Amida altar in the Onaiji and then added to the full display in the Sangha area .of the Hondo (Gejin).

Deadline. Extended through December 18, 2020.

Display. Extended through January 31, 2021.

New Pickup Options. Lanterns can be picked up at the Temple office after January 31, 2021.

Lanterns. Each lantern is a white and can be collapsed for easy storage. Completed lanterns will include the honoree’s name in Japanese hand-drawn calligraphy on the lantern. Death date can be added as an option. The tag that hangs from the lantern will be machine-printed with the honoree’s name in block letters. See the above video for examples and the order form for more information.

Cost. The cost of each lantern is $50; temple members receive a discount and will pay $45 for each lantern.

Payment. You can pay securely via a PayPal link. Even if you do not have PayPal, you can access the link and pay by major credit card without opening a PayPal account. You may also send a check to the Temple at the address shown below on the webpage footer or as identified in the online order form.
