Our special Bodhi Day Service features our Supervising Minister, Rev. Gregory Gibbs of the Pasadena Buddhist Church. The service will be officiated by our Minister’s Assistant, Rev. Smitty, who will also conduct the reading of the names for December Shotsuki Hoyo (monthly memorial service).

Sunday’s service will share Gibbs Sensei’s Dharma Talk by video but most other content will be presented live from the Hondo, including Rev. Smitty as officiant, leading chants and reading the names of loved ones who passed away in our monthly memorial of Shotsuki Hoyo. For our Japanese speakers, Minister’s Assistant Rev.Noriko Kawai will conclude the service with a live Japanese Howa. We will be sharing a Dharma School Message in the first part of the service.
