Help Our Scouts with STUFFED ANIMAL DRIVE - Drop Off October 10, 12 to 2 PM
Drop off a small new stuffed animal for Rady’s Children Hospital patients and their siblings!
WHAT: Small NEW stuffed animals for the Scouts' Stuffed Animal Collection, an interfaith and community effort, with the collection of new 6”-12" stuffed animals for patients and their siblings for Rady Children's Hospital as enabled by Ronald McDonald House.
WHY: While the Temple does not have its own Scout troop, with this drive we are supporting the efforts of our youth who are in scouting programs.
WHERE: Buddhist Temple of San Diego parking lot. There we are holding a COVID-safe Drive-Thru Celebration of our 95th Anniversary and Fond Farewell to Ms. Karen and Rev. Dr. Kenji Akahoshi.
WHEN: Sunday, October 10th, from 12 noon to 2 p.m.
WHO FOR: Patients and siblings of the Rady Children’s Hospital, which looks to the Ronald McDonald House to receive, process, and store the stuffed animals. (Ronald McDonald House allows for sick children and their families to stay just across from the hospital.)
WHO BY: Our youth in scouting programs as part of an interfaith and community effort across San Diego County.
