The landscape of Buddhism now includes more virtual spaces, such as online dōjō or “practice sites.” How does that affect our encounter with the Buddha Dharma? We will explore the role of Name scrolls from Shinran’s time to the present day.

About Rev. Murakami
Rev. Murakami received Tokudo ordination in 2013 and Kyoshi certification in 2015. His bachelor’s and master’s degrees are from Ryūkoku University. Since January 2020 he has served as a minister at Los Angeles Hompa Hongwanji Buddhist Temple.
