Japanese Buddhist Cultural Festival- Hanamatsuri
Saturday April 22, 12 noon to 6 p.m.
This is a major fundraiser for our sister Temple in Vista. Their members come to support our events, and now we can repay the favor! The Vista Buddhist Temple itself is a beautiful example of a modern architecture; while screens around the outside of the Temple suggest the paper screens (shoji) used in old Japan, bathing the main hall (Hondo) of the Temple is soothing light. The altar area is simple and beautiful. Sharing a parking lot with a community center, there will be games, food booths, cultural events and exhibits, and more.
Note: The Vista Buddhist Temple is 40 miles north of BTSD, typically a 45-minute drive.
