Yesterday NBC News 7 published and broadcast a story featuring long-time Dharma Friend David Flores, ICU Nurse at UCSD.

In a copyrighted story by Amber Frias, she writes “Flores was among the health care workers to get the first round of Pfizer's vaccine this past week. He’s cared for many COVID-19 patients and had been looking forward to the vaccine for months.”

Many Temple members remember David and his daughter Jade from years of attendance at Dharma School and Temple evets. His daughter was also interviewed in the article.

The article quotes him that “It’s been pretty chaotic. People are getting burned out and I don’t blame them. There are so many people and it's not just the COVID patients, you have the other patients.”

The news story brought recognition and gratitude from Temple members, one of whom sent the link to the Temple with the note “.a hero from BTSD!” Best wishes to David and family, and thank you for what you do.
