Preview JANM’s Latest with Rev. Duncan Williams

The latest installation at the Japanese American National Museum, “Sutra and Bible: Faith and the Japanese American World War II Incarceration.,” opened February 26. The exhibit can be previewed in this video, narrated by Rev. Duncan Williams, among others. Rev. Williams is one of the show’s curators.

The show runs through Sunday, November 27 and is co-presented by the Japanese American National Museum (JANM) and the USC Shinso Ito Center for Japanese Religions and Culture, with support from the U.S. Department of the Interior, National Park Service, Japanese American Confinement Sites Grant Program. Rev. Williams is Director of the Shinsho Ito Center, located on the University of Southern California campus.

Rev. Williams’ book American Sutra was published in 2020. Rev. Williams has spoken in San Diego before, discussing the book, in a community event at the Temple.
