Dana Group Running An Animal Shelter Donation Drive in September

The Dana Group has launched a drive to support animals in need. In September we are supporting Animal Advocates of the United States, an organization whose mission is to help homeless dogs and cats.

The Buddha taught that all sentient beings, including those in the animal realm, have Buddha nature. The Jataka tales often involve animals, with a Bodhisattva sometimes appearing in animal form.

We are collecting blankets, towels, and canned and dry dog and cat food.

A collection box has  been placed in the dining area along with the list of needed items. This donation drive will run through Sunday September 29.
