Warm donations delivered to Streets of Hope
A carload of warm clothing, blankets, and comforters were delivered to Streets of Hope on December 4, 2023. These items were collected at the Buddhist Temple of San Diego during the month of November. Generous temple members and Dharma friends once again practiced Dana and showed great compassion towards San Diego’s unhoused population, just as our nights grow gradually colder. Dharma Bum Temple knitters also supported this drive by donating 40 knitted hats.
The Temple of San Diego and its Dana Group have worked in conjunction with Streets of Hope for several years now to deliver clothing, toiletries, and other donations to those who live in the streets of San Diego. During its Monday evening distribution events Streets of Hope distributes clothing, food, water, and encouragement to those most in need.
The Dana Group and Buddhist Temple of San Diego wish to deeply thank those generous individuals who once again supported this yearly donation drive.
