New Rules in Response to COVID-19 Limitations

Temple youth may be familiar with the annual Nitta Scholarship but there are updates to the rules in response to the limitations on movement and interaction during the nation’s response to the COVID-19 crisis.

The Nitta scholarship is open to members of a BCA Temple’s YBA or Jr. YBA for two years or more. Complete rules and application form are available in the download links below (and the third link updates and modifies the previous rules). Including recent updates, key points for 2020 include

  • Increased Amount. In 2020 the scholarship amount is now $750.

  • Deadline Still April 30, 2020. The scholarship time table remains, which is accommodated with modifications to the previously distributed rules.

  • COVID-19 Update: Email Submissions Allowed. Physical mail is not required

  • COVID-19 Update: School Transcripts. Applicants can supply unofficial transcripts if official transcripts are unavailable.
