Thank You Great Performers! Here's the Bazaar Schedule of Entertainment

Don’t miss out on these wonderful performances.

What’s Where

Annex. Our Annex Hall is shown top left below; performances are on the second floor. Here you will see Kamishibai (old style Japanese village story telling) with theater artist, Walter Ritter; the Okinawan Shamisen group; martial arts groups Kickforce and San Diego Kendo; and an Ikebana flower arranging presentation.

For those who have trouble with stairs, please use our elevator. The elevator access is shown bottom left, from the parking lot level. Take the elevator up one floor to the office level. You will be able to travel along the outer parkway flanking the parking lot to reach the Annex Hall’s top floor.

Hondo. Japanese for “main hall,” the Hondo is the sanctuary on the top level. Here is where you can see the Temple and decorated altar for Intro to Buddhism, the Masazumi Kai koto group, and a demonstration of Sumi-e or ink brush painting by local artist Wendy Nakamura.

Outside. During the Bazaar our parking lot is filled with food booths, games, and more. It’s also where our OUTSIDE performances will be held — including performances by the Taiko groups.

ALSO NOTE

Silent Auction. For the Bazaar, our Sangha Hall will be home to our exclusive Silent Auction, with chances to bid on many different gifts. Bidding closes before 4 p.m.; the time for final bids will be announced.

White Elephant Crafts Shop. Designer purses, one of a kind jewelry, and more is in Classroom 5, on the lower right corner of the Annex Hall.

Bathrooms. ADA-compliant bathrooms are available on the Office level of the Hondo and are located on the south end of the hallway just before it opens next to the Annex. Additional bathrooms (although noncompliant) can be accessed from the parking lot on the west side of the Annex Hall.

Information Booth. On the parking lot level, we have more information about the Bazaar, the Temple, and Buddhism with some free literature as needed.
