THANK YOU!

The 2021 Winter Clothing Donation Drive officially closed on Saturday December 4th.

During the month of November we received many donations of warm clothing. On Saturday December 4th, during the Yasukochi Farms event, we also received additional donations. Thanks to all the generous temple members and Dharma friends who supported this cause we were able to deliver three carloads of warm clothing to Streets of Hope. This organization distributed our donations among the homeless population in downtown San Diego, helping them stay warm throughout this season.

We would also like to thank our friends over at Dharma Bum Temple. BTSD donated yarn and their Homeless Hats Project volunteers turned it into 130 knitted hats and several scarves. Over several months these volunteers got together virtually through Zoom to chat and knit, and now the fruit of their hard work has been delivered to those who need it the most. An excellent example of Dana. Check out this recent Union Tribune article covering DBT’s Homeless Hats Project.
