OUR SECOND "BE THE MATCH" DRIVE - Now Virtual

Be the Match is the effort to increase diversity in the Bone Marrow Registry Drive and we are again looking for individuals 18 to 44 years to help out.

Like our drive earlier this year, we are again inspired by the need of an individual looking for a match. Mainai Hazlett is a senior at Del Norte High School in Poway. His heritage is half Caucasian and half Japanese. Young Hazlett’s story may be well known to San Diegans, as an earlier recovery was covered on TV by KUSI, Channel 51. Regrettably, there has been a relapse.

Donors of a similar racial background would be especially appreciated. Regardless, every effort to increase the diversity of the Bone Marrow Registry benefits us all, and especially in our racially diverse San Diego County.

Do Your Part

All it takes is to sign u p and receive a cheek swab kit to then be returned to the Be the Match foundation.
