BTSD Represented at Historic Anniversaries

Here are many of our San Diego Sangha who attended the historic anniversaries in Kyoto at the mother temple, Jodo Shinshu Hongwanji-ha (Nishihongwanji). Directly behind the signboard (showing the date of May 10) are Rev. Laverne Imori and Rev. Maribeth Smith, with Temple President LuAnn Lee behind them.

With many days of observations, Hompa Hongwanji is observing the 850th Anniversary of the birth of Shinran Shonin and the 800th Anniversary of the start of our Jodo Shinshu tradition.
